What do you use to shift gravel when your boat ramps buried after a big tide for example? I am thinking of trying a pressure water pump. Will that work?

sure, it can help, but you'll need something with enough volume to do so. I'd say 2 or 3 inch trash pump with a firehose nozzle will to a much better job than those small pressure washers.

What kind of gravel are you dealing with, loose pea gravel or heavier compacted stuff and how deep does it usually get buried after a tide?
