Looking for a 3mm single braid that won't shred my hands

I was chatting with my friend yesterday for a beer sesh, and he mentioned wanting to set up a 3mm non-load-bearing feeder line to his main halyard using an eye splice.

He's been using Dyneema, but yeah… that stuff's slick and kind of brutal if you're handling it barehanded all the time. I told him I'd help him find something with a bit more grip.

Anyone know of a 3mm single braid that's easier on the hands but still solid for this kind of setup? Bonus points if it has low stretch and killer abrasion resistance.

Appreciate any leads. Trying to get him sorted before next weekend's race.

Check out Samson AmSteel-Blue or New England V-12 Vectran. They're both 3mm low stretch offer a better grip than regular Dyneema and are really durable. Graet choice for your feeder line

Tell him to stop trying to rig a cheese wire as a feeder line lol but seriously though, dyneema is great for strength and low stretch, but yeah, 3mm is brutal on the skin, y'all should look into Marlow D2 Club or Robline Sirius 300, way friendlier in the grip department and still handle splices well

Ahh... bear sessions. I miss. I've already tried Marlow D2 Club as suggested by @simonsays and I agree, it's pretty good. But of course for someone using Dyneema LOL you can't expect it to be easy on you. Switch to Marlow right away.
